Teeth

Take good care of your teeth because you only get one set!  Also teach your children to take care of their teeth.

Brush twice daily with a highly rated electric toothbrush.  Brush half on gums and half on teeth all of the way around with brush head held at an angle of 45 degrees so as to brush the top part of the gum and bottom part of the tooth.  Brush the parts of the teeth closest to the middle of your mouth (top parts of front and back sides of teeth).  Brush the tops of the teeth and brush each side of each tooth by holding the toothbrush vertically.  Use gentle pressure for all brushing.

Floss once per day between each pair of teeth.  Rub the floss up and down on each tooth side to dislodge any plaque forming.  You may want to use a water flosser instead of actual floss  You shouldn't use easy gliding floss because it doesn't do as good of a job of disrupting the plaque formation--you need the friction.

Use proxa brushes available in the dental section of a grocery store or drug store

to clean between the teeth.  You may need to buy different sizes depending on the size of the gaps between your teeth.

You may also want to use mouthwash.  Also remember to brush and/or scrape your tongue.  Be sure to get regular dental checkups and cleanings to round out your efforts to save your teeth.
