Each adult citizen should have a genuine voice in their own government--democracy.  Dictators should transition their governments to democracy.  It is wrong to rule over people without the genuine consent of the majority.

Every voter should make an effort to vote in each election.  Miles Taylor has suggested that in order to favor more central candidates instead of extremists that we should have ranked voting instead of having to choose one candidate.  In this type of voting you rank the candidates in order of preference rather than just choosing one.

People have died so that we can all have the right to vote.  Please honor them by voting carefully and with consideration.
